What is the best way to charge the Solartrek backpack from the Sun?
To get the best results, leave the SolarTrek backpack outside on a sunny day, angled at the sun. Also make sure the solar panel itself is clean, by wiping it with a damp cloth if it is dirty.
Will my SolarTrek backpack charge under artificial light?
If you put the SolarTrek backpack close to an artificial light source, you will see the blue LED light up and the charger will begin charging. However, most artificial light sources are much less powerful than proper sun light, to it will take a long time to charge the unit from a lamp or light bulb.
How long does it take to charge completely from solar?
We recommend between 8-12 hours of strong sun to charge the unit completely by solar.
How long does it take to charge from USB?
About 4 hours.
How long will the charge last in the battery?
Once charged up, the battery inside the SolarTrek Bakpak should keep power for 3 months or more before it needs to be recharged again. Then just recharge the SolarTrek backpack as necessary.
